Our Vision

The United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism promotes the role of the synagogue in Jewish life in order to motivate Conservative Jews to perform mitzvot encompassing ethical behavior, spirituality, Judaic learning, and ritual observance.

Our Mission

METNY USCJ, representing the local congregational lay leadership of the Conservative Movement, strives to strengthen our congregations, create passion for and commitment to the principles and practices of Conservative Judaism and build multigenerational communities in our affiliated synagogues.

We work to achieve these goals by:

  • Providing organizational support, leadership training and innovative programs to help our congregations meet the spiritual, educational and social needs of their members
  • Fostering on-going, open communication with our congregations
  • Enhancing cooperation and collaboration with the other parts of the Conservative Movement and Jewish world
